 EVE INCARNA PROTESTS !
While it has to be said that this expansion was a move in the right direction as far as being able to actualy leave your ship, there has been however been rumbings in eve related to the release, one of the biggest issues right now is the leaking of a do(edited)ent (CCP intenal newsletter) and then a mail from the CEO of CCP itself. in which it appears that CCP if not intend to allow are at least thinking about allowing the sale of non vanity items, those who have been within the EVE community for the last few years will know that this would destroy the eve market and also make for a terrible game where those that have thousands to waste on in game items would have an unfair advantage.
there are other whoever that feel, hey,, CCP bring it on, we'll love to gank these idiots flying real money valued ships, as one pilot once said, shiney (edited) has a nicer explosion, not to mention the pilots tears are so so sweet.

As things are right now, mass protests have broken out in game with thousands of pilots joining the protest to show CCP how upset the player base is right now. Others have decided to leave eve and end their time in eve, as it stands the numbers for accounts canceled is rumoured to have reached 3000 so far with many more saying they will cancel also if this the fears of the community are shown to be true.

the following is a quote taken from from a blog by CCP ZULU "Assume for a short while that you are wearing a pair of $1,000 jeans from some exclusive Japanese boutique shop. Why would you want to wear a pair of $1,000 jeans when you can get perfectly similar jeans for under $50? What do other people think about you when they see you wearing them? For some you will look like the sad culmination of vainness while others will admire you and think you are the coolest thing since sliced bread."
$1.000 jeans ????? most are thinking the CCP ZULU has no clue about what the customer wants, also when a person compares pixels to real life items it is proof that said person is totally disconnected from what people want, virtual just isn't advanced enough to warrant these prices, not only that, but all items in eve do not belong to the account holder, they are and will always remain the intellectual property of CCP, so these pixels for crazy cash remain the property of CCP. a leased pair of $1.000 pants you might say.

CCP has called an emergency meeting with the CSM which they are being flown to iceland ASAP. this hasn't calmed the protest in eve even a little, threads on the eve forums are reaching incredible numbers indicating that there is in fact thousands of very unhappy CCP customers.
one thing is for sure, eve has already changed, a community that once trusted CCP, who felt CCP listened to them, are now wondering just how long have they ben lied to.
i'd like to think sense will prevail, eveonline has been and still is one of the best ever space sims games created, and it will be a very sad day when the game dies.
let's hope this isn't the beginning of the end for eve, CCP a gaming company that lead the way, which now gives the impression that CCP have deciced to now follow rather than lead.

EVE online INCARNA is HERE !
Well it's true what they say, all comes to those that wait, yes the day has come, INCARNA is here.

New content is a little limit yes, but it has to be said that what has been introduced, most is a step in the right direction, some will love the Captain's Quarters (thank god they set it that you can disable the feature) - the first step towards opening the interiors of space stations for players a good step i say, the new graphics and animations for ship turrets, which look sexy as hell, and the new Noble Exchange store offering new and exciting goods, this i find to be the biggest let down in incarna, microtransations may be good for most games, but for EVE i feel, it's a mistake, yes most will jump at the chance of spending RL cash on items in game that are nothing but eye candy, a fool and his money are parted easy as they say, The new players will now embark on their journey in EVE Online guided by completely revamped tutorials and the familiar voice of Aura, while the new agent finder and corporation recruitment tools will make life easier for all pilots, this could be a good thing, or a bad thing, the current tools for recruitment are terrible and very ineffective. on a positive note, most changes CCP make are for the good of the game, as a veteran of the game i feel the player is being listened too.
refreshing it has to be admitted, because lets face it, name another game company that listens to players like CCP do.

further details on all the new content can be found here >>> http://www.eveonline.com/news.asp?a=single&nid=4622&tid=1

 DEATH TO DOWNTIMES!!
Greetings, capsuleers.

First off, I would like to introduce myself. I am CCP Hunter, Database Administrator in the Virtual World Operations department. The VW Ops department is responsible for the daily operation of Tranquility and all that relates to it: the databases, endless amount of servers, test servers and web servers.

The Big Announcement!

Since the launch of EVE Online in May 2003, our official daily downtime has been 60 minutes, from 11:00 - 12:00 UTC.

However, over the past two years we have been aggressively working at reducing this downtime. In actuality a typical downtime today is 20-30 minutes while officially downtime has remained the same *drumroll* until now.

 Hulkageddon III ends
This time around the event has broken previous records i do believe, with 1719 exhumers, 717 barges, 29 orcas and 1 rorqual destroyed
it is estimated that 288.988.568.617,00 ISK worth of damage was done.
Be sure this is not the last we will hear about this event, and keep in mind, now the common idiots in eve know they can do it there will be a lot more of these kind of attacks on mining fleets in the future.

fly safe o/

 HULKAGEDDON is upon us !
The time has come again when it is not safe, as if it ever was safe to mine in peace. All pilots should be aware of the dangers of mining without security.
you may ask is it ever really safe to mine without security, well the answer is real simple NO !
But at this time when Hulkageddon III is active it is a lot less safe to go about your mining operations.
scouts have been spotted and are passing locations of mining fleets to the Hulkageddon channels.
A wise pilot once said, they can only shoot me if they can see me in space.
This operation will be active from the 9th of July to the 18th of July 2010.
There is a website for the event and is worth a read >>> HERE <<< Fly safe pilots, don't give the bastards the opportunity to get a kill on you. The price of hulks is expected to rise sharply during the event, smart pilots have chosen to keep there hulks docked safely until the event ends.
